ISLAMABAD: Two personnel of security forces were martyred while three others injured early Wednesday morning when their vehicle came under rocket attack in Mir Ali Eidak area of North Waziristan Agency.
According to the political administration, security forces were busy in routine patrolling in the area when unidentified militants fired rockets on their vehicle, leaving two of the soldiers dead. The injured were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Bannu for treatment. The deceased are Naib Subedar Faisal and Naik Naeem.
Soon after the attack, security forces launched search operation in the area. However, no arrest was made till filling of this report. Meanwhile, a tribal elder was injured in a roadside IED explosion in the Bajaur Agency of the tribal belt Wednesday morning.
