PESHAWAR: Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) District President Farooq Khan was shot dead on Monday in front of his home in Ziada area of Swabi district.
According to Ziada police officers, unidentified assailants opened fire on Farooq Khan and managed to flee from the spot. Police further said that Farooq Khan was shifted to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Moreover, a First Information Report (FIR) has not been registered yet because Farooq’s family has sought time for consultation.
Ziada Police Station House Officer Khalid Iqbal told the media that Farooq Khan’s murder appeared to be a case of personal enmity rather than target killing. Iqbal added that an FIR would be lodged after the deceased’s family decides to pursue legal action in the case.
